The original series The Society and I Am Not Ok With This have shockingly been cancelled despite being extremely popular and recently renewed. One source revealed the decision to nix both shows stemmed from uncertainty about when it would be safe to film again. The coronavirus made it difficult to decide when and if production could begin for both shows. If filming could even happen, it would result in a complicated, costly production. “We’ve made the difficult decision not to move forward with second seasons of The Society and I Am Not Ok With This. We’re disappointed to have to make these decisions due to circumstances created by COVID, and we are grateful to these creators including Jonathan Entwistle, Christy Hall, Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Dan Cohen and Josh Barry at 21 Laps Entertainment for I Am Not Ok With This; Chris Keyser, Marc Webb and Pavlina Hatoupis for The Society; and all the writers, casts and crews who worked tirelessly to make these shows for our members around the world,” stated an official Netflix Spokesperson. News of the surprise cancellations hit fans of the shows hard, with many going to twitter to express their disappointment.
