‘Trust Jesus’ Bus Supporting Trump Crashes Ahead of Staten Island Rally

Jesus did not assume control of the steering wheel.

An incident occurred in Staten Island where a parked bus adorned with signs in support of Donald Trump unexpectedly rolled down a slope and collided with a utility pole. This incident took place just before a rally for the former president in the same borough on Saturday. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

User Damian Cross shared footage online depicting the aftermath of the incident. The video, which spans eight minutes, captures the bus trapped between a utility pole and a gas station price sign. Various signs such as “TRUMP: Law and Order,” “TRUST JESUS,” “Women FOR TRUMP,” “LET’S GO BRANDON,” and more, can be seen adorning the vehicle.

A man, off camera, recounts a startling incident where a car parked near the CVS began to roll down on its own. He emphasizes that there was nobody inside the vehicle at the time.

The man who was filming exclaimed, “It was parked by the CVS and it started rolling? Holy crap!”

As the person recording walked around the side of the bus, a prominent sign caught their attention: “TRUMP STORE”.

“This,” he declares, “comes right after Trump is declared guilty.”

The New York trial concluded on Thursday, finding the former president guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. Held in Lower Manhattan, the trial location was in stark contrast to the area’s overwhelming opposition to Trump in the 2016 and 2020 elections. Interestingly, Staten Island, just a short ferry ride away from the courthouse where the verdict was reached, had voted in favor of Trump in both elections.

In the video, workers can be seen making efforts to free the bus, while the police observe the situation. A man in the footage mentions that the fire department had arrived but left once they were informed that no one was injured.
