Brownie Recipe

A play in the woods.

For these brownies, you’ll need:

-1/2 a cup of butter

-1 cup of white sugar

-2 large eggs (If they are not large, that is okay. Your brownies will just crumble easily.)

-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

-1/3 a cup of cocoa powder (unsweetened or sweetened)

-1/2 a cup of all-purpose flour

-1/4 a teaspoon of salt

-1/4 a teaspoon of baking powder

To make the brownies you’ll want to first, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

You will then get a saucepan and melt the 1/2 cup of butter and then add sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla at low heat. Once combined, transfer the mixture into a mixing bowl and add 1/3 a cup of cocoa powder, 1/2 a cup of flour, salt, and baking powder. You can then add chocolate chips if you’d like.

Grease a brownie pan and add the brownie mixture into the pan. Put the pan into the preheated oven for 25 to 35 minutes or until you can insert a toothpick and take it out clean.

If you’d like the frosting on top that makes the brownies look like their crinkled, here’s what you’ll need to do:

-3 tablespoons of SOFTENED butter (Not melted!)

-3 tablespoons of cocoa powder

-1 tablespoon of honey

-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

-Confectioner’s sugar

Combine the butter, cocoa powder, honey, and vanilla. Add the confectioner’s sugar 1/2 a cup at a time until you get your desired taste.

When your brownies are out of the oven, frost them while they’re still warm. Then enjoy with some milk or just have them plain!
