Howard Phillips Lovecraft was an American writer of weird and horror fiction. His first story “The Call of Cthulhu” came out in 1928 in ¨Weird Tales”.

His childhood was marked by tragedy, which(Probably)Inspired him to write his freaky and weird stories. He was born in 1890 in  Providence, Rhode Island, and he has written over 70 stories in his life. Sadly, he died in 1937 in  Providence, Rhode Island. Died where he was born I guess. As a child, he was very sick and spent most of his school years learning at home. Lovecraft loved the works of Edgar Allan Poe and developed a special interest in astronomy. He went to Hope High School in his teenage years and often suffered from nervous breakdowns before he could graduate. He started out as a would-be journalist, joining the United Amateur Press Association in 1914. And the horror Maagazein brought much-needed attention to Lovecraft’s work in 1923(When he wrote his first story). Lovecraft could barely support himself in his final years, so he crushed work on ghostwriting and editing to try and stay afloat. sadly, On March 15, 1937, Lovecraft died of cancer, leaving behind almost all of his works and a few novels.
