Week 12 CFB Rankings

Nolan Brown, Sports Editor

Despite an array of games delayed due to covid protocol and security (including matchups from UGA, Auburn, LSU and the number one ranked Alabama) college football trudged on through week 12 of competition. With no major changes amongst the initial five, Indiana rose one place to the number nine spot, with Wisconsin finally cracking the top 10 and progressing 3 spots ahead. With the day to day monitoring of teams throughout the season, unprecedented schedules and results have been a common theme for the CFB. The temporary loss of key players such as Trevor Lawrence (Clemson starting QB and phenom) and the managerial scares of Alabama’s Nick Saban (who was cleared only hours before game time) have drastically shaped the approach of contenders. While the conferences work together to ensure the safety of players, spectators and coaches alike, questions continually arise as to the future of college football playoffs and championship.
