Thanksgiving is not only about spending time with those you love and giving thanks but is also about the amazing and tasty food you get to enjoy with these people. Coming up with creative dessert ideas for thanksgiving can be difficult, so here is a yummy dessert idea.

The dessert idea is an easy mini cherry pies, all you need for this dessert is 1 package of refrigerated pie crust, 1 can of cherry pie filling, and ½ teaspoon pure almond extract.

To spice up this dessert some toppings include sliced almonds, melted butter, sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger.

The first step is to preheat the oven to 425, unroll the pie crust with flour, cut out 6 rounds from each crust, and press dough rounds into a muffin pan after spraying it with non-stick spray.

Mix cherry filling and almond extract into a large bowl and divide evenly among the crust. Once you have done that for the topping, toss almonds and butter in a medium bowl.

Sprinkle with sugar and spices, make sure to sprinkle evenly over the herring filling.

Bake for 14 to 16 minutes or until the topping is a nice, golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Take it out of the oven and let it cool.

Once that is done, you can try your delicious cherry pies. Now go one and try this delicious recipe, but do not be afraid to spice things up by going off on your own and adding whatever you please.
