Released in the heart of Black history month on February 12, “Judas and the Black Messiah” streamed in select theaters and on HBO Max for a limited time. Featuring the rise and power of the Black Panther Party’s Chicago chapter, the Shaka King directed film hones in on the tensions and tragic storyline that unfolded between chairman Fred Hampton (Daniel Kaluuya) and his bodyguard William O’Neal (LaKeith Stanfield). ┬áThe critically acclaimed feature was met with much praise, depicting the power struggles of the party and its opposition, capped by electrifying performances from the star studded crew.
