Bill to Make Daylight Saving Time Permanent Georgia Passes House

The bill was first introduced in 2020 right before covid-19 got out of hand. Cantrell believes by staying on daylight saving hours will eliminate the number of car accidents that are caused at nighttime. He also believes that it will cause crime levels to be reduced because they’re the cloaks of darkness.  The article states that, “If the bill were to be passed in the Senate and become state law, it would still require an act of Congress to allow states to drop the time change permanently.” Statistics have shown that over 14 states have decided to have a year-round daylight. It means that daylight savings will be starting as early as next week on March 14th.
