Former police officer turned model and another individual arrested in Orange County by District Attorney

Two women, including a former police officer who has turned into an Instagram model, were recently arrested for allegedly collaborating to extort $9,000 from a small cosmetology business.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office has accused Ally Thueson, a 33-year-old resident of Montgomery, of making threats to publish fabricated online statements about a business unless the owner paid a certain amount.

According to prosecutors, Thueson, who previously served as a deputy for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, worked as a police officer in the Town of Woodbury until her resignation in 2021, as confirmed by Woodbury Police Chief Kevin Watson.

During her nomination for Maxim Magazine’s 2022 Covergirl Contest, Thueson was featured on the “Off-Duty” podcast in an episode titled “I Thrive In Chaos”. The interview took place in 2022.

According to officials, Thueson participated in the misconduct alongside her co-defendant Elizabeth Sloanhoffer, who hails from Montgomery. It is worth noting that Thueson was previously a law enforcement officer.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office reported that the pair made false accusations against a business, threatening to ruin its reputation by spreading lies and reporting fictitious violations to the New York State Board of Cosmetology and the Department of Labor. The accusations were baseless and aimed at causing harm to the business.

The Orange County White Collar Crime Task Force pressed charges against both individuals for grand larceny and coercion. They were later released on an appearance ticket.

When News 12 attempted to get in touch with Thueson and Sloanhoffer for their comments, there was no immediate response.
