Police Arrest Fentanyl Dealer in Poughkeepsie, According to Report

On June 4th, Jermaine Boykin, a 46-year-old resident of Orange County from Newburgh, was apprehended in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County.

Det. Sgt. Adam Harris from the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Task Force has revealed that agents were conducting an investigation into the sale of fentanyl and crack cocaine in the vicinity of Kennedy Fried Chicken situated at 472 Main St. in Poughkeepsie city.

According to Harris, the task force has taken notice of the area following a surge in overdoses and reports of unlawful behavior by the locals.

According to Harris, Boykin, who was identified as a fentanyl dealer, had been selling drugs in the vicinity of Kennedy Fried Chicken. After conducting a thorough investigation for a month, agents were able to pinpoint Boykin’s illegal activities.

According to Harris, Boykin was involved in multiple fentanyl and cocaine sales to agents during the course of their investigation, both at the location in question and at various other locations in the city.

With the assistance of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the city of Poughkeepsie Police, the task force successfully captured Boykin, also known as “Murder.”

After his arraignment, Boykin was charged with the criminal sale of a controlled substance and was subsequently held at the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.

There are still a number of charges that are yet to be addressed regarding his drug sales.

According to Harris, the public needs to be warned about the dangerous practice of mixing cocaine with fentanyl. This lethal drug is responsible for causing the highest number of overdose deaths in Dutchess County.
