Georgia has the 6th lowest unemployment rate in the US

A recent study has revealed that Georgia ranks sixth in the United States for having the lowest unemployment rate in terms of unemployment claims per 100,000 individuals in the labor force.

According to a recent study by WalletHub, Georgia had 61 claims per 100,000 workers based on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

According to WalletHub’s recent report, Georgia ranked 48th in the country for the smallest increase in unemployment claims over the past week.

Last year, WalletHub reported that the United States achieved record low unemployment rates. However, since then, there have been fluctuations and a general increase in unemployment as inflation has cooled.

According to the latest reports, the job market has been struggling as new unemployment claims have risen by 3.6% week-over-week as of May 27. At present, there are approximately 6.5 million Americans who are unemployed.

According to the study, despite a rise in weekly claims across the country, 29 states, including Georgia, had a more positive unemployment claims report last week compared to the same week last year.
