Giuliani, a former Trump lawyer, has posted bond in the Arizona election case

According to Reuters, Rudy Giuliani, the former lawyer of Donald Trump, announced on Monday that he has paid a $10,000 bond in Arizona. This payment was made in relation to charges accusing him of attempting to interfere with the 2020 election outcomes in the state.

During his show, America’s Mayor Live, Giuliani, the former mayor of New York, revealed that he had posted his bond, got fingerprinted, and had a mugshot taken at the Maricopa County sheriff’s office.

Despite attempts to reach out to the Maricopa County sheriff’s office and the Maricopa County Superior Court clerk’s office regarding Giuliani’s posted bail, no response has been received as of yet.

During his show, Giuliani expressed his disbelief at having to report as a defendant in a criminal case, stating, “It’s hard for me to believe…”

Giuliani was instructed to post the bond just last month as he was accused of avoiding authorities who were trying to serve him court papers. These papers alleged that he attempted to undermine the 2020 election.

Giuliani maintains his innocence against the charges of conspiring to falsely claim Arizona’s electoral votes for Trump in the 2020 election, which came after Trump’s loss to Democratic President Joe Biden. He has pleaded not guilty and is set to stand trial in October.

Kris Mayes, the Democratic attorney general of Arizona, has filed a case against 18 defendants including Giuliani.

The charges against Giuliani and his co-defendants include conspiracy, fraud, and forgery. Their alleged actions involved the formation of a group of electors from Arizona who pledged to support Trump, in an attempt to subvert the certification of the 2020 election.

As the November presidential election draws near, Trump, a Republican candidate, persistently asserts that his loss was due to fraudulent activities, despite the lack of evidence to support his claims.
