Wildcats vs. Knights


On Saturday WHS Varsity Football played against Northgate at Starr’s Mill High School at 12:30. The final score ended up being 27 to 14, with Whitewater in the lead. They were up 21 to 0 at halftime and although Northgate managed to get in a few points, they still pulled through and held their own.

When asked about his players, Coach Frazier highlights Xavier Clay Turner, Bryan Gillead, and Corey Richardson, as some of his best players this weekend. Running back, number 15 Clay Turner had 10 carries for 52 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 2 receptions for 21 yards. On defense, number 45, Bryan Gillead defensive tackle graded out at 75%. On special teams number 4 Corey Richardson had a kickoff return for 99 yards and a touchdown setting a school record.

Coach Frazier says, “Proud of our players, they battled the heat and came out on top. We play a lot of guys on both sides of the ball, their toughness showed through all 4 quarters.” The Wildcats really showed their toughness on Saturday. Go Cats!
