Three Wisconsin Companies Announce Unexpected Layoffs

whswildcatweekly – In Wisconsin, three companies have recently announced unexpected layoffs as per the WARN notices that have been issued regarding the upcoming job cuts.

Keep in mind that if a company has over 100 full-time employees, they are required to comply with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act. This means that they must give a 60-day notice before laying off 50 or more employees at one location.

Filing these documents is mandatory and should be done with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

In August, Charter Communications will be closing down a facility in Fond du Lac, which will result in 122 employees losing their jobs. The company has confirmed this unfortunate news.

In August, a facility owned by Baxter Health Corp will be shutting down as well. In Milwaukee, the layoff of 32 employees has been confirmed.

Sun Nuclear Corporation recently submitted a notice to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. According to the company’s announcement, they will be laying off a total of 39 staff in Middleton due to a facility closure.
