Search underway for female suspect in Lancaster murder case

A man’s death in Lancaster in April has led authorities to search for a 37-year-old woman who is believed to be responsible for the crime. The woman is currently on the run, and law enforcement officials are actively seeking her whereabouts.

On Monday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated that Erika Zimmerman is being sought for murder in connection with the death of Louie Cervantes, aged 46.

A report of a traffic collision with a pedestrian was received at around 7 p.m. on April 11, prompting deputies to respond to the 1600 block of Valeport Avenue.

Authorities have recently released new information regarding the case of Cervantes’ death. According to reports, he was involved in a “domestic dispute” and was hit by a vehicle. Sadly, Cervantes passed away due to the injuries sustained from the incident.

The Sheriff’s Department appealed to the public for assistance in locating Zimmerman, who was being sought for questioning and had not been identified as a suspect.

According to reports, Zimmerman stands at 5 feet and 3 inches, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and weighs around 140 pounds. It is believed that she often visits Rosamond.
