At 5:18 PM on June 29, 2024, the Porter County Sheriff’s Office received a dispatch regarding a collision between an SUV and a motorcycle in the vicinity of Smoke Rd and Division Rd.
According to preliminary investigation and witness statements, the SUV was heading northbound while the motorcycle was traveling westbound. It was observed that the motorcycle did not yield the right of way and proceeded through the intersection, resulting in a collision with the SUV.
The investigation is currently being conducted by the Porter County Accident Reconstruction Team.
The two individuals who passed away in the unfortunate incident have been identified as Sarah Blaize, aged 55, from Valparaiso, and Anthony Jaroszewski, aged 62, also from Valparaiso. The Porter County Coroner is yet to conduct autopsies and the incident is currently under investigation.
