NEW ORLEANS — Following a woman’s shooting death in the French Quarter over the weekend, three arrests have been made.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 43-year-old Kristie Thibodaux. When New Orleans police arrived at the scene of the shooting on Sunday, June 30 at 4:36 a.m., they discovered the victim inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound.
The man whose aide is suspected of killing a Covington priest will appear in court.
On the spot, she was pronounced deceased.
Following an inquiry, NOPD homicide investigators located three people: a 15-year-old child who was unidentified, Joshua Aviala-Bonifacio, 19, and 17-year-old Jerben Albarec. The suspects were given warrants for their arrest.
They were apprehended and charged with one count each of second-degree murder and attempted armed robbery by the FBI New Orleans Violent Crime Task Force, Louisiana State Police, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators discovered that an attempted armed robbery was the reason behind the fatal shooting.
