A 16-year-old Florida teenager has been charged with killing his ex-girlfriend’s mother, shooting the 38-year-old woman to death out of retaliation for being discarded.
After being arrested on Monday, Eli Zachary Shinhoster was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of having a firearm while underage in connection with the death of Eulalia Gonzalez Martin De Osorio.
Gonzalez was shot and killed on Thursday, June 27, at approximately 7:40 p.m., while standing on her front porch in the Homestead, Florida, neighborhood of N.W. 11th Street and N.W. 6th Avenue, according to a release from Crime Stoppers Miami & Florida Keys.
Gonzalez’s residence is located in the 600 block of 11th Street. According to the report, there were complaints of a female being shot in the head, therefore police from the Homestead Police Department and emergency medical workers from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue came to the scene.
First responders reportedly found Gonzalez in front of her house, apparently suffering from what seemed to be an eye wound from a gunshot wound to the head.
