Investigators reported on Friday that a man was discovered in Newark with possible stab wounds and passed away shortly thereafter.
Around 3:30 a.m., Newark police officers discovered a man in the Ironbound neighborhood of the city, according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. The man’s identity was not disclosed and he was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:07 a.m.
It is still unclear if the man was stabbed to death as the New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office in Newark is yet to determine the exact cause of his demise, according to the office’s statement.
