On July 4, Jihad Hagler, a Newark man, allegedly attacked a woman and her two children inside an apartment on Park Avenue in East Orange.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office authorities have reported that the incident occurred around 1 a.m. According to reports, the woman and one child suffered life-threatening injuries, while the other child’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The Newark police arrested Hagler on the same day for another incident. Later, it was discovered that he was responsible for the attack on the woman and children in East Orange. He has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
