GALVESTON, Texas — Two adults and two small children were discovered clinging to an overturned boat off the coast of Galveston on July Fourth, and the Coast Guard responded to save them.
At 6:20 p.m., watchstanders inCoast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston received a report from Towboat U.S. regarding a capsized vessel that had four individuals on board. A Coast Guard team was dispatched to locate them after watchstanders launched an urgent maritime information bulletin.
When the crew saw them clinging to the boat, they went to get them. Fortunately, life jackets were on both kids. It was not the woman and the man.
Nobody was hurt.
