Early this morning, a fatal crash occurred in LaPorte County, resulting in the death of a Westville resident. According to reports, the man sustained severe injuries in the accident.
At the intersection of State Road 2 and County Road 500 West, a crash occurred at approximately 5:25 a.m.
According to the police, a Kia was traveling towards the west on State Road 2 when it veered off the road and collided with a tree located at the northwest corner of the intersection.
Reports at the scene confirmed that George Dobos, a 62-year-old resident of Westville, had passed away. The driver’s identity was established as George Dobos.
The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the crash.
