Breaking News: Another suspected drug mule busted locally

La Porte County Police have made further arrests of suspected drug mules on the Indiana Toll Road. On Friday, a vehicle traveling from southern California was stopped at the Toll Plaza near Rolling Prairie.

Assisted by a K-9 dog, law enforcement officials were able to uncover approximately two pounds of fentanyl from a concealed compartment within the vehicle. Remarkably, the fentanyl had been molded into the form of a brick.

Authorities have arrested Andres Rojas and Luis Cisneros Ramirez, both residents of Toledo, Ohio, along with Sandra Perez Arriaga from Mexico. Each suspect may be sentenced to 10 to 30 years in prison.

Law enforcement officials have been cracking down on drugs passing through La Porte County via major highways for several years now. Recently, they made a breakthrough in their efforts to tackle the problem. As part of this ongoing crackdown, a bust was made that resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs.
