Man convicted of killing a 17-year-old in Ohio was arrested on the Indiana Toll Road

A spokesperson with the Indiana State Police confirmed the arrest of an Ohio man who allegedly shot and killed a 17-year-old. The accused was apprehended in Indiana.

On Saturday, Indiana State Police were notified by Ohio authorities that the suspect they were searching for might be using the Indiana Toll Road for travel.

According to a spokesperson, at around 9:57 a.m., a trooper in LaPorte County spotted a vehicle that closely resembled the description provided.

After confirming that the car belonged to the suspect, the trooper followed it and requested backup.

According to the spokesperson, the driver was pulled over by the authorities near the 38-mile marker of the Indiana Toll Road.

A tragic incident occurred in Harrison Township when a vehicle crashed into an RTA pole, resulting in the death of one person. The details surrounding the crash are still unclear, and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.

LaPorte County Jail took custody of a young 22-year-old male from Painesville, Ohio after he was arrested.

The suspect’s identity will be revealed by the Willoughby Police Department in northeastern Ohio as soon as he is arranged. The department is currently investigating the fatal shooting.
