29-year-old woman charged in connection with fatal shooting at 60th and Bradley in Milwaukee

Chrissy Jackson, a 29-year-old woman from Milwaukee, has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide following the fatal shooting of a man behind a gas station located at 60th and Bradley. The incident has led to her arrest and prosecution.

The police were called to a gas station at 60th and Bradley on the night of Monday, July 8, following a shooting incident, as per the criminal complaint. Upon arriving at the location, the officers discovered Christopher Davis lying on the ground behind the station. Despite their best efforts to save him, Davis was declared dead at approximately 12:30 a.m. the next day.

After examining the surveillance video from the gas station, a detective uncovered some crucial details. According to the complaint, at approximately 11:47 p.m. on Monday, a red SUV drove into the rear of the gas station and parked. Subsequently, a woman exited the driver’s seat of the SUV, and moments later, Davis walked into the frame. The woman briefly returned to the SUV before walking back towards Davis. Suddenly, in the video, Davis appeared to lurch backward, and his white hat fell off, suggesting that he was either punched or swung at by the female subject. In the next moment, the woman stepped back from Davis, raised her arm, and a muzzle flash was visible. Davis disappeared from view, and the video shows him lying on the ground. Finally, the woman got back into the SUV and drove away from the scene.

According to the complaint, the woman who shot Davis was captured on surveillance video at the gas station earlier that evening. The footage revealed that she was wearing the same attire she had on during the shooting.

Upon discovering the identity of the woman in the video, investigators proceeded to run the plates on the SUV and traced it back to a Milwaukee residence. Law enforcement officers then went to the apartment in question, where they were greeted by the defendant who was subsequently taken into custody. A detective who had viewed the surveillance footage from the gas station was able to positively identify the defendant as the individual captured in the video.

Upon receiving consent, officials proceeded to search the apartment of the defendant. It was during this search that investigators discovered a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun in what appeared to be a child’s room, according to the complaint. Upon preliminary examination, the casing found at the crime scene was determined to have been fired from the 9mm handgun that was recovered at the defendant’s residence.

On July 13, Jackson appeared in Milwaukee County court for the first time. The court set a cash bond of $200,000 for her.
