Early Wednesday morning, on the Near South Side, two women were shot outside an apartment building.
Police officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of South Dearborn after receiving a shooting report just minutes before 12:40 a.m.
Both of them were transported in fair condition.
According to the police, two other people were engaged in a gunfire exchange that resulted in the women being caught in the crossfire.
