She disappeared in Chicago as a toddler, and authorities believe she looks like this today

A recent age-progression image has been generated to depict the current appearance of a girl who went missing in Chicago in 1983. The girl was only 18 months old at the time of her disappearance, and this new image provides an idea of what she might look like today.

A forensic artist from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) has crafted an image to depict Vinyette Teague’s possible appearance at the current age of 42.

A poster was created by the center, which featured a photograph of the individual at 18 months old, placed side by side with an age-progression image.

While Vinyette’s parents were away, she disappeared from the Robert Taylor Homes. The child was in the care of a relative and neighbors when distractions arose, and she vanished without a trace.

The woman in question is Vinyette’s mother.

“I didn’t hold anyone responsible because I never imagined something like that could happen,” expressed the speaker.

According to Angeline Hartmann from the NCMEC, there have been instances where a baby was kidnapped and later found safe, or they were able to uncover their true identity after years of being missing.
