15-year-old boy arrested in Tinley Park after allegedly shooting man in Chicago

Earlier this year, a 15-year-old boy allegedly fired shots at a vehicle in Brighton Park, resulting in the injury of one man. The authorities have charged him with the crime.

The young offender is charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and one count of aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm, all of which are considered felonies.

A 40-year-old man was shot by a teenager on April 19th in the 4500 block of South Sacramento. The teenager discharged a firearm at a vehicle, where the man was present. Fortunately, a 14-year-old boy, who was also inside the vehicle, was not hit by the bullet.

The teenager was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Task Force and Area Two detectives on Thursday at the 18200 block of 65th Avenue in Tinley Park.

Authorities took him into custody and charged him accordingly.

Police have not provided any further information on the matter.
