DES MOINES, Iowa — Military families are overjoyed to welcome their heroes home. One hundred and fifty Iowa National Guard soldiers have returned to the state after a yearlong overseas deployment.
The video above captures the heartwarming reunions at the Des Moines air base.
During their deployment, this unit accomplished 50 construction projects and dedicated 60,000 hours to troop labor.
Officials report that they have been awarded dozens of medals for their service.
