Shots fired, four people stabbed at Montrose Beach

Chicago police reported that two altercations occurred at Montrose Beach on Sunday evening, resulting in four individuals being stabbed. According to witnesses, shots were also fired during one of the incidents, but thankfully no one was injured from the gunfire. At this time, no arrests have been made in connection with the altercations.

Around 7:47 p.m. in the 4400 block of North Simonds, a heated dispute between three men led to a physical altercation. According to the police, the situation escalated when the third man pulled out a sharp object and attacked the other two before fleeing the scene.

According to a spokesperson from the CPD, a 33-year-old man suffered from various cuts on his arm, while a 32-year-old man had cuts on his wrist. The injured men decided to take themselves to Swedish Hospital for treatment.

According to witnesses, gunshots were heard during the incident. Additionally, an officer present at the scene reported finding shell casings in the same block where the two men were stabbed.

Police reported that at approximately 10:10 p.m., two individuals were stabbed in the 4500 block of North Simonds.

According to a spokesperson from the CPD, a man and a woman, aged 18 and 22 respectively, were assaulted by an unknown man who approached them. The assailant used a sharp object to attack both victims and it was later revealed that the object was a beer bottle which the attacker had broken before the assault took place.

According to the police, a man and a woman sustained injuries in the incident. The man suffered a cut on his back, while the woman had a cut on her hand. Both of them were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center by EMS and are reported to be in good condition.

The attackers’ descriptions were not released by CPD.
