Wisconsin authorities reported that in the wee hours of July 17, three men were taken into custody after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a firearm, THC, and stolen property.
The Pleasant Prairie Police Department released a statement stating that on Wednesday, July 17, law enforcement officials stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.
According to the police, the car came to a halt near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Springbrook Road. One of the occupants purportedly disposed of a firearm and an unidentifiable bag.
Officials conducted a thorough search of the vehicle after a failed attempt to flee from the scene, leading to the recovery of a discarded firearm. In addition, a significant amount of Delta-9 THC was found, along with stolen property that included blank personal checks and multiple credit/debit cards.
Police apprehended three men in connection with several charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The suspects are a 35-year-old from Racine, a 31-year-old from Danville, Illinois, and a 27-year-old from Milwaukee.
The Kenosha District Attorney’s Office has been referred to additional charges, but unfortunately, no further information regarding the incident is currently available.
