Dana Carvey impersonates Joe Biden on ‘SNL’

Dana Carvey and Maya Rudolph, both beloved veterans of Saturday Night Live, made a triumphant return for the Season 50 premiere of the sketch comedy show. In a hilarious parody, they took on the roles of outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden and his vice president and potential successor, Kamala Harris.

Rudolph as Harris, with a hint of playfulness in his voice, greeted the crowd at what was initially intended to be a campaign event. “Well, well, well. Look who fell out of that coconut tree. Well, your fun aunt has returned. The ‘funt’ has been rebooted. Too funny, too furious,” he exclaimed.

“I am thrilled to be campaigning in any swing state I visit, which I affectionately call ‘Winsconsin-pennsyl-va-georgia’ because I am committed to safeguarding your ‘va-georgia’,” she enthusiastically expressed.

“My campaign is reminiscent of the Sabrina Carpenter song, ‘Espresso.’ Although the lyrics are open to interpretation, the overall energy is undeniably captivating.”

Jim Gaffigan and Andy Samberg made appearances in the show, portraying Harris’ enthusiastic Democrat vice presidential pick Tim Walz and her adoring husband Doug Emhoff.

Biden was then introduced by Harris, as he made his way to the podium with a slight shuffle.

With a puzzled expression on his face, he furrowed his brows and proceeded to deliver a meandering address, consistently reiterating the phrases, “Guess what?”, “by the way,” and “no joke.”

“Folks, you know, it’s funny how sometimes even I forget that I’m the president,” Carvey as Biden amusingly remarked.

“I believe I have accomplished a commendable task during my presidency. I have successfully passed a greater number of bills than any other president in history. However, there is still more work to be done. It is evident that the wealthy individuals in our society do not contribute their fair share.”

“I didn’t want to! They forced me to!” Biden exclaimed. “To conclude, Vice President Harris and I are alike.”

Harris burst into laughter, his amusement echoing through the room as he playfully nudged him off the stage.
