Potential for Severe Frost and Freezing Temperatures in Northern Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin

A powerful cold front is ushering in blustery and frigid conditions in its wake.

Good evening, everyone. In this morning’s article, we talked about a cold front that is moving across the Upper Midwest. It is accompanied by a line of gusty showers. As the cold front passes, we can expect unseasonably cold air to follow. Although this cold air will warm up quickly, it will still be cold enough overnight to create frost and freeze problems, particularly for farmers.

In upper North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, temperatures are forecasted to drop below freezing tonight before rising again tomorrow. Due to this, the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for tonight and early tomorrow morning.
