Authorities search for three individuals involved in reported armed robbery at UB North campus on Thursday morning

University at Buffalo police are currently searching for three suspects involved in an armed robbery that occurred in the vicinity of the Creekside Village Apartments in Amherst, N.Y. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Two University at Buffalo students were confronted by a group of three men brandishing what seemed to be handguns, according to the police. During the incident, one of the students was struck in the head and had their phone and wallet forcibly taken. The other student had their jacket snatched away.

Three Black males were reportedly identified as the suspects. One of them was described as wearing a black Nike sweatsuit and burgundy shoes, while another was seen in a black Nike sweatsuit and black shoes. The third suspect was spotted wearing a grey sweatsuit and black shoes.

The three individuals were all donning ski masks.

The UB Police have announced that they have ramped up patrols in the area.
