Harris slams Arkansas governor’s remarks about her not having biological children

Vice President Kamala Harris responded to Arkansas GOP Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ remarks suggesting that Harris lacks humility because she doesn’t have children.

“I don’t think she realizes that there are many women out there who don’t aspire to be humble,” said Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, during her conversation with “Call Her Daddy” podcast host Alex Cooper.

In a recent taped interview, she emphasized that there are “a significant number of women who have abundant love in their lives, a strong support system of family and children. It is crucial for women to uplift one another.”

Kamala Harris, who is a stepmother to her husband Doug Emhoff’s two children, expressed her gratitude for having both her biological family and her chosen family. In an interview with Cooper, she stated, “We have our family by blood and then we have our family by love. And I have both. And I consider it to be a real blessing.” Harris acknowledges the importance of both types of family in her life.

In a recent interview, Harris opened up about her bond with her stepchildren, Cole and Ella Emhoff. Cole and Ella are the biological children of Harris’ husband from his previous marriage.

“They are like my children, and I love them dearly. Family can take many different shapes and forms,” Harris expressed affectionately.

In a statement, Huckabee Sanders emphasized that she would never criticize a woman for not having children.

According to the speaker, Kamala Harris’s recent statement confirms the point being made about her lack of belief in the importance of humility in our leaders. This is evident in her arrogant claim that she alone can solve the issues that our nation is facing, despite the fact that her actions over the past four years have only exacerbated these problems.

In 2021, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, who was Trump’s running mate, expressed criticism towards women in a similar vein. He stated that Democrats who do not have biological children are “a group of childless cat ladies who are unhappy with their own lives and the decisions they have made, and thus, they aim to spread misery throughout the rest of the country.”

Harris criticized Vance’s comments as being “mean and mean-spirited,” stating that they may send a negative message to women who are unable to conceive or have children naturally.

“I believe that the majority of Americans desire leaders who comprehend that true strength is not derived from tearing others down. A leader’s true strength lies in their ability to uplift those around them,” she emphasized.

During the interview, Cooper questioned Harris about Trump’s remarks made during a rally in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Trump had promised that under his administration, people would no longer feel abandoned, lonely, scared, or in danger. He further assured that individuals would no longer experience anxiety due to the prevailing issues and that he would be their protector.

According to Trump, women will experience happiness, good health, confidence, and freedom.

Harris strongly criticized Trump, holding him accountable for selecting three Supreme Court justices who voted in favor of overturning Roe v. Wade.

According to Harris, the impact of Trump’s abortion bans is exactly what he intended. He pointed out that currently, there are 20 states with these bans, some of which do not even make exceptions for cases of rape or incest. This means that survivors of such crimes are being told that they have no right to make decisions regarding their own bodies and what happens to them next.

Harris expressed her disbelief, questioning, “Is this the same person who is now making these statements?” She was referring to Trump’s previous remarks about safeguarding women.

She continued, “Isn’t this the same individual who advocated for penalizing women who undergo abortions? Isn’t he the one who frequently employs disparaging language when discussing women?” Harris concluded her remarks with a final statement, asserting, “So, indeed, there you have it.”

The Trump campaign spokesperson did not respond promptly to a comment request.
