Governor Tony Evers has announced that over $100 million will be allocated to local tribal communities in River Falls, Wisconsin. After the announcement, Evers made a visit to River Falls on Monday.
The funds are expected to be used for expanding broadband access, supporting public libraries, and funding community centers. The source of this initiative can be traced back to the American Rescue Plan Act, which was enacted by the Biden Administration.
Alma, Cadott, Fall Creek, La Crosse, River Falls, and the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin are all expected to receive millions of dollars in funding.
