Former President Donald Trump drew criticism on Monday for his apparent smile while holding a photo of a man who was kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th.
During a remembrance event in Queens, President Trump paid a visit to the gravesite of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson in New York City.
In a recent social media post, Ben Shapiro shared that the former president took the time to meet with Yael, Adi, and Roy Alexander. Their son and brother, Edan, an American citizen, is currently being held captive by Hamas.
In his post, Shapiro shared a picture of Trump wearing a smile as he held up a poster with a photo of one of the victims, giving the impression of a kidnapping.
“Why do you guys have to post that picture of Trump with such a big smile?” inquired @MikeTysonTiger.
@lak3rsfolife66 took a light-hearted jab at the amusing sight of Trump smiling next to a picture of a hostage with the word ‘kidnapped’.
