Rep. Wesley Hunt: It’s Time for the U.S. to Prioritize its Citizens and End Global Financial Support

Texas Republican Congressman Wesley Hunt goes on Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to talk about how the Biden administration’s priorities are off when it comes to how much money is being sent overseas and how little money the Federal Emergency Management Agency has for hurricane victims.

“We are burdened with a staggering $35 trillion debt. It is high time we reconsider our approach to funding everything, including the world. Our country faces its own challenges, like the recent devastating storm in Houston, similar to what North Carolina experienced.

Another storm is approaching Florida, and if it were called Ukraine, we would undoubtedly be providing substantial financial aid. It is disheartening to witness the suffering of our people while we struggle to secure FEMA funds.

Your observation is absolutely accurate. We must prioritize spending on our own nation. This doesn’t mean we should isolate ourselves or abandon our allies. However, considering our colossal debt, it is no longer feasible to continue sending hundreds of billions of dollars to other countries.”

During their conversation, Jimmy and Rep. Hunt also touch upon the narrowing gap in the poll numbers between former President Trump and Vice President Harris. To find out more about their discussion, make sure to tune in to the podcast!
