Jill Biden to embark on campaign trail to support Harris

Jill Biden, the First Lady, is set to embark on a campaign trail this weekend, visiting crucial swing states alongside Vice President Kamala Harris.

The first lady has recently shown her support for Harris, marking her first public endorsement since the Democratic National Convention in August.

Starting on Friday, Joe Biden is set to embark on a five-day tour, visiting Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. It has been some time since Biden has actively campaigned, as he suspended his campaign in July after his husband, President Joe Biden, withdrew from the race.

As the first lady, Biden has taken on a more formal role. In September, she assumed the position at the head of the table during a Cabinet meeting and later held a Rose Garden event without her husband by her side. Since concluding his campaign in July, the president has mostly remained out of the public eye.

Jill Biden, an English professor at Northern Virginia Community College, has showcased her talent as a children’s book author. With a collection of three delightful books, including Willow The White House Cat, Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops, and Joey: The Story of Joe Biden, she has captured the hearts of young readers everywhere.

Governor Tim Walz (D-MN), who is Harris’s running mate, will also be embarking on a tour across various states. His itinerary includes attending rallies, engaging directly with voters, participating in fundraisers, and appearing in two national TV interviews.
