In a recent interview on Newsmax, Trump expressed his indifference towards the legal processes undergone by Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio. To him, their status remains “illegal.”
“I mean, take a look at Springfield, where 30,000 illegal immigrants have been brought in. They may have used a certain loophole, but as far as I’m concerned, they are still illegal immigrants.
These individuals are causing immense harm to the towns, to the entire community, and ultimately, they will bring about the destruction of the state!” he passionately expressed.
Haitian immigrants residing in Springfield currently have temporary protected status, a designation that Donald Trump has vowed to eliminate if he becomes president.
The Republican nominee’s disregard for proper legal procedures is concerning, as it expands the group of individuals he aims to displace as part of his ambitious plan for the largest mass deportations in American history.
Whether someone is considered legal or illegal in this country seems to depend solely on whether they can be conveniently blamed by the previous administration.
