Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation President Brad Olson highlighted Baldwin’s leadership on key agricultural initiatives, including her efforts to enforce FDA labeling standards through the Dairy Pride Act and secure funding through the Dairy Business Innovation Initiative, which has directed nearly $40 million to Wisconsin’s dairy industry.
Baldwin has also played a pivotal role in legislation such as the Meat Business Innovation Act and the Farmland Security Act, reflecting her dedication to securing a prosperous future for Wisconsin farmers and rural communities.
The AFBF’s “Friend of Farm Bureau” award is given to members of Congress who demonstrate strong support for agricultural policies, with recipients nominated by their state Farm Bureaus.
Baldwin’s recognition is rooted in her advocacy for legislation like the Protecting Future Farmland Act, ensuring rural energy projects protect valuable farmland, and ongoing work to bolster the dairy and meat processing sectors.
