Whoopi Goldberg questions whether women will support Trump because of his abortion stance

Actor and talk show host, 68, addressed the audience on Tuesday at “Broadway Rallies for Kamala” at The Town Hall in New York City. The purpose of the event was to rally support for Kamala Harris, Trump’s presidential rival.

Goldberg made a grand entrance at the event, greeted by a wave of enthusiastic applause. She confidently took the stage and immediately captured everyone’s attention. With a hint of skepticism in her voice, she boldly declared, “You’ll hear people say, ‘You know I’m voting for Mr. Trump,’ and I don’t believe ’em!” Her statement resonated with the audience, sparking intrigue and curiosity.

“I understand that no woman in this country wants a man dictating what is happening within her body.”

“Why would you give up your right to discuss your own body with your doctor? It’s not just about abortion; it’s about empowering yourself and ensuring that you have the ability to make informed decisions about your health. After all, nobody knows your body better than you do.”

Trump has proudly claimed credit for his involvement in the reversal of Roe v Wade by the Supreme Court, a decision that resulted in the loss of abortion access across the country.

During the presidential debate last month, there was a moment when the candidates were questioned about a crucial election issue. In response, Trump made a false claim, stating that Democrats support abortion “after birth” and even go as far as “executing” babies.

During his speech at the rally, he expressed his thoughts on the influence of politics on individuals, stating, “Politics can have a peculiar effect on people’s behavior.”

Reflecting on a past experience, he shared, “I once employed Whoopi as a comedian, but that was a while ago. When I heard her speak, I was taken aback by the explicit language she used. It was vulgar, offensive, and repulsive, causing many attendees to leave. Needless to say, I made the decision to not work with her again.”

“I proudly admit that I was filthy,” Goldberg declared, eliciting applause from the audience.
