DNC plans to use skywriting to promote Kamala’s campaign during the Raiders-Steelers game on Sunday

The Democratic National Committee is set to ramp up its efforts to reach voters on Sunday by targeting four NFL games in battleground states, according to NBC News.

In a strategic move, the party plans to fly messages over the stadiums, aiming to capture the attention of football fans and convey their message. By utilizing this platform, Democrats hope to engage with a wider audience and make a lasting impact in key states.

In Week 6 of the NFL schedule, there is an interesting coincidence where three games involve teams from battleground states. The Green Bay Packers will be hosting the Arizona Cardinals, the Carolina Panthers will be hosting the Atlanta Falcons, and the Las Vegas Raiders will be hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has planned an attention-grabbing campaign during some NFL games. They will be skywriting the message “Vote Kamala” over Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the Steelers versus Raiders matchup.

Additionally, in Green Bay and Charlotte, the DNC will fly a plane over Lambeau Field and Bank of America Stadium, respectively, carrying banners that say “Sack Trump’s Project 2025! Vote Kamala!”

Furthermore, they will fly a plane over Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia during the Eagles’ game against the Cleveland Browns, displaying the message: “Go Birds! Sack Project 2025. Vote Kamala.” This creative and visible approach aims to promote the Democratic ticket and generate support for Kamala Harris.

The messaging primarily revolves around Project 2025, a conservative transition plan and policy blueprint that former President Donald Trump has distanced himself from due to relentless Democratic criticism. Recent polling conducted by NBC News revealed that the plan is widely unpopular among the general population.

“It’s NFL Sunday and fans all over the country are ready to reject Donald Trump’s Project 2025 playbook once and for all,” stated Abhi Rahman, the deputy communications director of the DNC.

Democrats have developed a stronger connection with football this election cycle, particularly by highlighting Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and his background as a high school football coach.

Additionally, Harris’ campaign has invested heavily in advertisements during college and professional football games. Just last month, they introduced the “Athletes for Harris” coalition, showcasing endorsements from 15 NFL Hall of Famers.”

Trump has also shown interest in football, as evidenced by his attendance at the Alabama-Georgia game last month. He even took a photo with members of the Las Vegas Raiders and appeared in a digital ad alongside former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher.

In fact, he has been actively promoting his views during football games through advertisements that criticize Harris’ previous stance on taxpayer-funded gender-affirming treatments.

The DNC has a history of flying banners at baseball games. Just recently, they organized a flyover before the Detroit Tigers’ playoff game against the Cleveland Guardians.

This is not the first time they’ve done something like this – back in September, they flew a banner over a Philadelphia Phillies game as well. It seems like the DNC is finding creative ways to make their presence known in the sports world.
