Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Michigan Governor Whitmer are actively advancing the “Blue Wall Bus Tour” as they make their way through Mequon, Wisconsin.
Their final destination in Mequon was reached on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The bus tour across Wisconsin was completed by the governors and other elected state leaders on Wednesday morning.
The Harris campaign rallied supporters by discussing their plans to lower costs, secure jobs, and protect the rights of Wisconsinites. According to U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, the main priority for Democrats is ensuring that all individuals exercise their right to vote.
“Senator Baldwin emphasized the importance of individuals recognizing the influence they hold through their voice and their vote. Regardless of whether they reside in a rural, suburban, or urban setting, everyone’s vote carries weight,” Senator Baldwin stated.
With just 19 days left until the election and the latest Marquette Law School Poll showing a neck-and-neck race, Governor Gretchen Whitmer emphasizes the significance of events like these in maintaining the momentum leading up to election day.
According to Governor Whitmer, the upcoming election is expected to be a tight race, with a few key states playing a decisive role. Among these states are Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
According to the latest Marquette Law School Poll, Vice President Kamala Harris and Former President Donald Trump are neck and neck in a closely contested race. Harris is currently leading with 48% support, while Trump trails closely behind with 47%.
According to the poll, five percent of participants expressed their intention to vote for a candidate other than the current options or choose not to vote for the president.
Governor Evers assures that they are actively addressing the remaining 5%. “We have a strong sense of confidence in our ability to secure a victory, but we are not relying solely on that. It is imperative for us to put in maximum effort and ensure that we are diligently working to encourage people to cast their votes,” Governor Evers expressed.
Entrepreneur Eric Hovde, from Wisconsin, paid a visit to Oak Creek on Wednesday with the aim of winning over undecided voters.
Hovde expressed that his presence at the company is a result of his daily interactions with the employees. He emphasized the importance of being proactive by engaging with people and extending his working hours to connect with them personally.
Former President Barack Obama is currently on the campaign trail for Harris. He will be joining vice presidential candidate Tim Walz in Madison on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
