Harris and Schiff maintain strong leads in California

According to recent polls conducted in California, Vice President Harris and Senate candidate Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) are maintaining substantial leads over their Republican opponents in their respective races.

According to recent polling conducted by Emerson College Polling, Inside California Politics, and The Hill, Kamala Harris, a California native, is currently leading former President Trump in the race for the White House in the state.

The poll reveals that Harris has garnered 59 percent support, while Trump trails behind at 35 percent. Additionally, a small fraction of voters (approximately 2 percent) have chosen another candidate, while about 4 percent remain undecided.

According to the latest polling data, Harris leads with 61 percent of the vote when undecided voters who lean toward a candidate are taken into account. Trump, on the other hand, trails behind at approximately 37 percent.

Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, highlighted that the gap between Trump and Harris has remained consistent at 24 points since the September California poll.

According to the data, Kamala Harris is currently garnering 61% of the vote, which is slightly lower than Joe Biden’s 2020 vote of 63.5%. On the other hand, Donald Trump is receiving 37% of the vote, which is slightly higher than his 2020 vote of 34.3%.

According to the survey, a majority of 56 percent of respondents favored Schiff as the candidate for the California Senate race, which aims to fill the seat vacated by the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.). Meanwhile, 33 percent of those polled expressed their support for Republican Steve Garvey, while 11 percent remained undecided.

According to a recent poll conducted by Emerson College Polling, Inside California Politics, and The Hill, 1,000 likely voters were surveyed from October 12-14. The margin of error for this survey is 3 percentage points.
