Gov. Tim Walz to make first day of in-person early voting visit to Racine

Democratic vice-presidential hopeful, Governor Tim Walz, has an upcoming visit to Racine on Tuesday, October 22nd. This visit is scheduled to coincide with the start of early, in-person voting.

Walz is making his inaugural trip to Racine, marking his sixth visit to Wisconsin since being selected as Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate.

Walz visit location not disclosed

The governor’s visit location has not been disclosed yet, but according to a source from Harris’s Wisconsin campaign, Governor Walz will be in town after his visit to Madison, where he will appear alongside former President Barack Obama.

According to an insider, the locations are generally not revealed well in advance due to security concerns.

The Harris campaign remains dedicated to targeting swing states such as Wisconsin, recognizing their crucial role in securing a Democratic victory on Election Day. Walz recently visited Eau Claire and Green Bay, underscoring the campaign’s commitment to engaging with key constituencies in these pivotal regions.

A swing state, as defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, is a state where Republican and Democratic candidates have similar levels of support. These states are considered to play a crucial role in determining the outcome of presidential elections.

According to Dr. Charles Franklin of the Marquette University Law School Poll earlier this summer, it is highly probable that Wisconsin, also known as the Dairy State, will play a significant role in determining the outcome of the election.

“During an event held on the eve of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Professor Dr. Charles Franklin confidently asserted, “Okay, so are we a close swing state? Are we the tipping point statewide? Yes, I believe we are.”

He then proceeded to explain the significance of Wisconsin in the 2020 election, using a visual representation of the electoral map.

Pointing to the blue and red states, he emphasized that the tipping point lies at 269 electoral votes. With unwavering conviction, he declared Wisconsin’s pivotal role in determining the outcome of the election.”
