A new digital video titled “I will vote for Kamala Harris-Tim Walz” was released on Thursday by a Democratic fundraiser of Indian American descent. The video’s main objective is to rally South Asian voters in key swing states.
The video draws inspiration from Bollywood and showcases the instrumental version of a song from the movie Animal. This film is based on A.R. Rahman’s iconic track “Dil Hai Chhota Sa, Chhoti Si Asha” from the movie Roja.
Its aim is to connect with South Asian communities in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, and North Carolina.
Ajay Bhutoria, a member of the National Finance Committee for the Kamala Harris presidential campaign, emphasized the importance of unity and rallied support for Kamala Harris.
He also shared plans to release additional Bollywood-inspired videos in an ongoing effort to boost voter engagement for Harris and her running mate Tim Walz.
According to him, there is a clear choice between Kamala Harris’ vision for a better future and Trump’s divisive approach. He stated that thousands of South Asian volunteers are actively involved in organizing, door-to-door campaigning, and making phone calls to contribute towards winning this race.
