Survey finds that Wisconsinites who come into a large amount of money are more likely to prioritize the protection of the Great Lakes

If you were to win the lottery, would you consider giving back by supporting charitable causes? If Wisconsinites were to suddenly come into a large amount of wealth, their top philanthropic priority would be to preserve and safeguard the Great Lakes and their shorelines, as per a survey conducted.

According to a survey conducted by LotteryTexts, which involved 3,000 participants from across the country, the website reveals the following findings:

Wisconsin has significant shorelines along the Great Lake, and protecting them emerged as Wisconsinites number one cause. They would invest in conservation projects to protect the water quality and ecosystems of the lakes, support sustainable fishing, and fund educational programs to promote environmental stewardship.

Wisconsin also focused on promoting the rich heritage of its dairy industry.

Wisconsin is known as America’s Dairyland, and Wisconsinites surveyed said they would invest in supporting local dairy farmers, funding research into sustainable farming practices, and creating agritourism initiatives to showcase the state’s rich agricultural heritage.

Preserving the Wisconsin Dells ranked as the third most important cause to support.

The Wisconsin Dells are a unique natural and tourist attraction known for their beautiful rock formations and waterways. Supporting their preservation was Wisconsinites’ third favorite cause. They would invest in protecting these natural features, supporting sustainable tourism, and funding educational programs to teach about the region’s geology and history.
