Legendary singer Cher took to social media on Friday night to share her endorsement of Vice President Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D). Cher expressed her longstanding admiration for Harris, stating that she has been a loyal follower of the Vice President for many years.
“I’ve been a follower of Kamala Harris ever since she served as my U.S. senator,” expressed the “Believe” singer in a video shared on X. “She championed for me back then, and now she’s advocating for all of us. That’s why I’m thrilled to cast my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.”
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to make my voice count this year, and I know they will fight to protect our rights. I hope you will join me in doing the same.”
Cher has expressed her dissatisfaction with former President Trump, stating in October that she would consider leaving the country if he were to be reelected.
She previously shared with The Guardian that the last time, she was on the verge of getting an ulcer.
The Harris-Walz campaign has received several celebrity endorsements, including one from the iconic performer. Notably, pop star Taylor Swift endorsed the vice president and Minnesota governor in September.
Since receiving Swift’s endorsement, Democrats have taken advantage of the opportunity, even going as far as launching a voting campaign centered around the pop star’s international tour.
