Social Security Update: $943 November Payment Arrives in Just 13 Days

Millions of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries will soon receive their November payments, scheduled for distribution on November 1. These payments, which can be as much as $943, are crucial for individuals living with severe disabilities that impact their ability to earn income, as defined by the Social Security Administration (SSA).

The amount a recipient receives depends on their filing status. Individuals may qualify for up to $943 per month, couples filing jointly can receive up to $1,415, and essential persons, who provide care for SSI recipients, can collect up to $472. These amounts have increased by 3.2% compared to last year, reflecting adjustments for inflation.

To qualify for SSI, applicants must be either partially blind or have a physical or mental condition that significantly limits their ability to perform daily activities for at least 12 months or is expected to result in death.

It’s important to note that SSI payments are separate from regular Social Security benefits. Receiving one does not automatically make someone eligible for the other. For those unsure of their total payments, the SSA provides an online calculator to help recipients determine their benefit amounts.
